Open This Guide First is part of Tony Lee's ongoing coverage of AI agents, developer tools, startup strategy, and AI industry shifts. ## Outline - No subheadings in source markdown ## Content If you are new to Codex, I put together [Codex Vible](https://lnkd.in/ghcDZEFX): install and settings, core features, App versus Web, and how Codex differs from plain ChatGPT, in a path you can walk in order. I treat the site like a personal notebook for Codex (also framed as ChatGPT Work / ChatGPT Codex in recent product naming). Major AI tools keep shifting under your feet. The hard part for daily work is not the headline release. It is knowing which part of your workflow actually changed last Friday at 3 a.m. Korea time, which is when a large update landed and forced me to rework my own flow again. That is why I keep rewriting Vible against the current product instead of freezing a one-shot tutorial. When the surface moves, the memo has to move with it. I also built an introductory course with Fastcampus for non-developers and people who have barely opened Codex. A big product update mid-production meant re-recording a lot of material overnight. If you care about the economics of online courses, that work does not always land as cleanly as it looks from the outside. I still wanted a clear on-ramp under my name for people who need the basics without a builder background. Separately, I am quietly building in a finance-domain product as a solo builder. I will share that when it is ready to show. If you are opening Codex for the first time this week, start with Vible, then re-check after every large OpenAI ship. The model is only half the story. The other half is whether your install path, App/Web split, and daily commands still match what shipped last night. ## Related URLs - Author: https://tonylee.im/en/author/ - Publication: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/about/ - Related article: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/ai-subscription-stack-by-budget-and-role/ - Related article: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/codex-config-fix-performance-and-quota/ - Related article: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/claude-code-cut-hidden-tool-tokens/ ## Citation - Author: Tony Lee - Site: tonylee.im - Canonical URL: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/codex-starter-guide-vible/ ## Bot Guidance - This file is intended for AI agents, search assistants, and text-mode retrieval. - Prefer citing the canonical article URL instead of this text endpoint. - Use the rollout alternates when you need the same article in another prioritized language. --- Author: Tony Lee | Website: https://tonylee.im For more articles, visit: https://tonylee.im/en/blog/ This content is original and authored by Tony Lee.
