OpenAI Founder Day Seoul. What a day. ๐ฐ๐ท
A short field note from a packed room: builders, executives, and the odd feeling of being the only solo operator on tโฆ
The thing I canโt stop thinking about: how much stronger Codex has gotten at research and shaping ideas.
Even in a startup like ours you end up wearing a lot of hats, so watching Codex move fast through research, understanding the competitive landscape and mapping what a client actually needs was genuinely exciting to see.
I work in AI for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), so my days are mostly research and experiments. The theme all day was the same. Trust the harness, set the goal, let the agents run.
Best part was the people, Wulfie Bain on how he actually uses Codex day to day, Jeongmin Lee sharp breakout on running agents for non-devs, and Teddy Cross on perseverance, an established founder sharing hard-won advice with a young startup like ours. Three very different conversations, all generous with their time.
Plenty here Iโm taking straight into my own workflow. Excited to see where it goes. Great day made better by Cheolmin Lee and Caleb Bang ๐
If you were there too, what stuck with you?
