A Prompt That Forces Consulting-Style Slide Structure

Pick one of six structures, lock design tokens, run a 3-second test — stop getting pretty bullet dumps with no “so what.”

Ask a model for slides from meeting notes and you often get pretty bullets with no argument. Consulting decks burn hours on structure and message, not decoration.

I packed that methodology into one prompt for ChatGPT and Claude:

  1. Force a structure — sequence, compare, classify, problem-solve, cause-effect, or pyramid. Nested structures allowed. Raw bullet lists are not a structure.
  2. Lock design rules — fixed palette, type scale, emphasis limits, chart rules. No “similar blue,” no gradients/shadows/3D “consulting vibes.”
  3. 3-second self-check — would a stranger get the claim in three seconds? If not, rewrite headline and structure. Headlines must be conclusions, not “About X.”

It will not replace a senior partner. It will replace the hour you waste turning notes into a shapeless deck. Close the loop in the prompt so the model cannot skip judgment.
